We believe that the cornerstone of success both in and out of the show ring is a great attitude. We specialize in developing riding skills in the hunter, jumper and equitation arenas. Our passion for horses and our love of teaching makes DVG the ideal place for any person interested in riding a horse.
Alixe has been riding since her childhood in Langley, British Columbia, starting her show career in the pony hunters. While going to the University of British Columbia she worked for several successful trainers in the U.S. and Canada and decided to make Blue Fox Farms her home in 2004.
Under the tutelage of Kenny and Nancy Nordstrom and Cathy Robinson she was able to fine tune her riding and showing skills and now shows successfully in both the hunters and the jumpers on the “A” circuit. Her strengths not only lie in riding and showing the horses but in bringing along winning riders. With a patient attitude she believes anybody can ride successfully.
In 2011, Alixe decided to form DVG Show Stables to bring her knowledge and expertise to even more students and riders. With the help of the Blue Fox Farms family, she runs one of the top-tier showing and riding schools in California.
Rachel DeuPree has been a memeber of the DVG family since 2008. She took her first formal riding lesson here and has moved up through all the levels learning how to ride, care for, and show a horse which finally brought her to her true passion: training.
Sara joined our team in 2015 and comes well rounded multifaceted horse discipline background in Poway. She has been instructing all age groups for over 5 years and feels that providing a solid base and classical foundation of hunt seat equitation is key in developing a rider.
Harri Winston came into this world on January 3rd 2017 and was introduced to his horse family 8 weeks later. His therapeutic skills were immediately recognized as he seemed to excel at comforting both horses and humans experiencing anxiety. He can commonly be found being held by anyone who comes to visit the farm.
We offer full service boarding at our beautiful facilities on Blue Fox Farms in Escondido.
We have a full size exercise ring with numerous styles of jumps for our horses and students to train.
The covered equisizer allows us to continue training even when the weather does not allow for riding.
We have 30 fully enclosed rubber matted and recently renovated horse stalls on the Blue Fox Farm property located just steps away from our practice ring and European Walker.
All of our horses spend at least half the day in our turnouts giving them a chance to relax.
We have a covered patio and several other seating areas located around the exercise ring for watching lessons or just relaxing.
